lol! That was funny. The cat was scared of the chin. I would be careful though. Just in case things turn for the worst your cat could suddenly get fed up and trry to hurt ur chin. It happened with my dog but I was right next to my chin and was able to grab her before my dog got to her just saying, be careful.
Lol.. funny comments. Do you guys acually think no 2 species of animals can ever live together? I have had LOTS of pets, and have never had any problems with domestic cats. My ginnea pig has lived in close harmony with my 2 cats and dog for over 7 years. And (most) domestic cats would never attack something the size of a chinchilla.. As mentioned before here, dogs and cats don’t always fight either do they?
Humans are animals too you know, that way we shouldn’t have pets in the first place.

This is adorable. Your chinchilla somehow looks like a very big cute fluffy mouse, while your kitty is so small and fine and blk/wht. The colors and the sizes make for a lovely video.
And excuse me, but the idiot woman who says shes a vet. I’m in school for vet med right now, currently working at an Animal Hospital and happen to know many vetrinarians who themselves allow their chinchillas to play with their cats, and have yet to have any incident. Its a personal decision, and you dont know the circumstances. Back off.

Neither of the animals are being terrorized or nervous, and actually having cats and chinchillas who interact is not of any risk as long as precautions are taken, and neither of the animals are agressive and they are already familiar with each other.

We have 1dog’ 1 bird’ 7 chinchillas’ 2 cats and there all indoor pets, and get along fine.
